Kate Lush
Kate Lush has met the minimum requirements for SAG-AFTRA Registry list, Curriculum and Trainer experience, and is one of the lead trainers on the Safe Sets Intimacy co-ordinator training program.
Kate is also a movement coach and teacher based in the United Kingdom. She co-founded and runs the International Intimacy Coordination Company, 'Safe Sets' with Sara Blecher, providing intimacy coordinators in South Africa, Europe and the UK for TV/Film and in theatre.
While based in South Africa between 2020 and 2023 Kate Lush intimacy coordinated for Apple TV+, Netflix, CBS, Paramount+, Amazon Prime, HBO Max and others. During this time she also spearheaded and delivered, with the Safe Sets team, an Intimacy Coordinator training programme for Netflix, who at the time were looking to provide Intimacy Coordinators across the EMEA region and beyond. This was then followed with a joint venture with Netflix Grow Creative, the NFVF (South Africa) and the IPO (South Africa) to deliver a similar course in South Africa and the Middle East.
Kate Lush is also co-founder of IPSA (Intimacy Practitioners South Africa who were key contributors to the Protocols for Working with Intimate Content - South Africa), The IPG (Intimacy Practitioners' Guild EU/UK) and represented Intimacy Coordinators for the UK Union BECTU in 2020/21 in their Intimacy Coordinators Branch, contributing to their industry documents.
In addition to intimacy coordination, Kate is an award nominated actor and movement teacher, has a 1st Class Degree in Performing Arts from the University of Hertfordshire and an MA in Acting from Manchester Metropolitan University having trained in Poland with Teatr Pieśń Kozła (Song of the Goat).
